It was Mrs Sailor's birthday.

She went to her shop in the Prelude, I went off in the Integra to buy her present(s).
The things I was going to buy weren't right, so I was gift-less. Grumpy, I came home to find a message on the answerphone: the Lude had broken down. I went out to fiddle with it. No joy.

I tried to get something else for her birthday. That didn't work, either. Meanwhile, I found out that the money that was supposed to be in the bank from the sale of two guitars had not yet arrived.

Still no joy with the Prelude, so I decided to tow it home.
The bar is a short one and the driveway where the car had been left is very, very humpy and isn't quite wide enough to turn round in one go. I hooked everything up and started the Teg. The person in the towed car was looking more at where we were supposed to be going than watching what was happening to the bar. The two cars touched, corner to corner - just as we reached one of the humps. We were slewed sidewards and the cars locked, the valances crushing each other a bit like a knuckle joint. Cue lots of sweary words.

The bar was jammed solid and it took ages to separate them. We towed the Lude to a nearby trading estate, left it and went home to get ready to go out for a birthday dinner.

The day finished at three in the morning when I woke up feeling weak and sick. Even the meal had upset me.

The Prelude's plastic rear valance recovered its shape and has only scuff marks. That's a bit of good news at least. The Integra did not fare so well:-

Bummer...have been the "towee" many times and I always worried about hitting the "tower", luckily that has never happened.

Remember it is just parts on a car - hug the Mrs. and tell her happy B-Day again when the cars are all shite and briny again!

Thanks.

The car parts are an issue - it's not a simple Integra I can get bits for in the UK.

As for the Mrs, the birthday thing was sorted the following day. It wasn't her fault, after all.
And she has loads of experience of dealing with me when I'm grumpy!

Any integra sedan rear bumper cover and plastic mounts should work, nothing special about the body work. From how you were describing it I was imagining seeing a crushed quarter panel.

There are very, very few 4-doors in the UK. Most Tegs here are Type Rs and the rear plastics are slightly different. I've never found one in a breaker's yard anywhere close to me.

Not crushed, but dented. It popped out with a bit of heat. The alignment in the picture is the closest I could get without removing it. Once it's taken off, I think I might be able to glue in some tabs where the holes have been torn in the flange.
