i thought about the oil when i filled it back up i got a quart and half in, i drained it to check for metal or anything that may have come from whatever was making the noise but it looked good, i filled it back up with 2 quarts 10-30 and it still makes the noise its getting worse i was thinking it may be the input shaft bearing, thanks for the info....

A NEW RECORD!!!! not only did this n00b double post, but its a first-ever TRIPLE!!! you should be proud.

Ever try just plain Honda MTF? I hear it works better, and the manual says only use 10w30 for short periods only (don't know if there's truth to that, if they're trying to sell their expensive oil, but why take chances when its less than ten buxx to do it)

another possiblity is the input bearing is going out, i would say put in some syncho mesh, or honda mtf. if that don't work then check out the input bearing.

ISB. I concur Bone.

Ohh, I got one for you to see when you come up bone. It's that EX-HX swap you built for me...... The ISB was SOOO bad he ended up BREAKING the input shaft OFF the trans.

It's a piece of work.

Stick
