Hey guys,

I just recently got my timing belt, water pump, and the tensioner done at Midas. At first everything seemed normal, quiet idle, and quiet around town. But as soon as I hit like 3500rpm and up, it sounds like the intake noise has been increased by x10. To be honest it sounds kinda good, but it worries me. I'm thinking its something to do with valves. Before I take it back I would like to here your opinions what it could be. Its a 98 civic ex with a d15b7 swap (previous owner did that). I did forget to mention that it had a swapped engine but I was thinking the guy that always works on my car would be there but he wasn't. Any thoughts?

Thanks,
Steve

Update: Went back and took a test drive with the mechanic that usually works on my car, The car actually sounds better then before (healthier and louder intake noise) for some reason and performance is better as well, It just threw me of because it was not what I was use too, All is well.
