Hello everyone So I have already posted in the newbie forum and well since I just found a package on my door step the other day I thought I would post here as well. So I pulled into my drive way to see a brown box sitting at my door step, I look inside and come to find my nitrous kit as arrived(& a day early) so now to start the build process, this should be a fun learning experience for me and I hope to have the suggestions and comments from this site as well as others to help me along the way..

Car: 91 Crx DX
Engine: Dohc ZC
Transmission: 88-89 Si
Weapon: Nitrous Wet kit(50 shot to start)

So with this platform as my start my plans are to start things off with a smaller 50 shot and work my way up to 75, don't think I will go much higher than that if I feel the need for more power would probably go turbo. My goals when everything is done and finished to have a car going high 12s low 13s. I know this is a lot to ask for, but I think with the proper supporting mods and some practice this will be possible.

So far I have nothing but the nitrous kit with 75 shot jets and my car. First on the list of things to do is a tune up, compression test and replace a few things and get her into a really good healthy state. then I want to buy some safe guards for the nitrous like a Tps switch and window switch for 3k-7k rpm range as well as a nitrous filter and air/fuel gauges as well as the 50 shot nos/fuel jets. And most important a TUNE!!! Then after I get some experience and understanding of nitrous and the way it feels I plan to start the process of building the motor to breath well and handle the 75 shot. But over all I want to build my car to last and only have to buy parts once so anyway here comes some pics wish I knew how to make them bigger but...

nice i'm doing a nitrous 7th gen civic, keep me posted on how the kit works and all, we're still looking around for a good kit. Good plan so far. GL on getting high 12's man

Thanks man I think It will be possible for high 12's but we shall see only problem for me is that the only 1/4mile is over 1hr away but I guess I will just have to make a weekend trip out of it

good luck man glad your not scared like some people on here of nitrous. only thing i dont like is you opted for the venom nitrous not saying its not good just not into that brand. but yeah good luck should be fun.

High 12's in a CRX with be easy on stock bottom end.

Need about $1200 for the tranny/clutch and another $300-400 for slicks to make it though.

I had a 50 shot on my sohc zc for about a day. Wasnt impressed with it at all. Upped it to 75, changed to colder plugs, and retarded the timing about a degree and a half. I was pleased with it then.

I have got the tranny already just need the clutch kit. if you guys think it would be easy to make it to the 12's then I guess I wont be disappointed. I am thinking that a clutch kit and headers will be my first performance parts I add but I still need to do a run through of my car make sure its in good condition before I spay it.

good luck man glad your not scared like some people on here of nitrous. only thing i dont like is you opted for the venom nitrous not saying its not good just not into that brand. but yeah good luck should be fun.
I think just the bottle is Venom the rest is a Nos kit

nitrous is awsome if ur scared ull never know if it works thats y i did it and all my friends told me i would blow my motor and i should go b-series lol i was the one laughing saying I TOLD U I COULD DO IT!!!!!

i ran a 55 shot and wasent inpressed but it was also a dry kit i did see a diffrence in time for the 1/4 but dident feel it i sold it and now im thinking turbo or another wet kit and hitting that 75!! what ya think?????

I don't see how people get so disappointed I have looked at a few nitrous dyno graphs and it must feel like something else when that 55 shot kicks and you instantly have around a 55wtq more than before. Most people shave almost a full 1sec off the 1/4mile that would impress me, but I guess you guys are use to more then me cause the fastest car I have been in was a Z28 on 150 shot of Nos(unless he was full of shit) and that still only got him a best time of 12.9. I am sure that if when I swapped out transmissions to a Si and I was impressed that this 50-55 shot will be plenty until I get use to it...

yea I didnt really feel it. I thought it was broken till I put the 75 pills in. I loved it but someone offered me $350 for the kit that I paid $200 for, so I had to sell.

My first pass on ZEX 55 shot, went from 15.1 NA straight to 13.97 juiced. Skipped right over the 14's :)
Hell yea, see I cant wait tell I can get this hooked up and on the road I am thinking about buying a stand alone Magasquirt as well. I am trying not to get to pumped yet cause I want to do it right the first time so until I get the Tps activation switch colder plugs and a few parts that just need replaced anyway I am not going to put this on...:crying: But just the thought of this getting into the 13's off just the 55 shot makes me want to do the :thehump:

Stock ECU, stock ignition timing, stock plugs = fine for 50-55 shot

Traction will be the issue, once you get it then the tranny will be the weak spot. With the ZEX kit I was spraying right out of the hole, on slicks.

i felt it a lil but it just wasent enough i guess i expected more and i did shave a whole secound off my time only i cant figure it out i guess i have a heavy coupe couse i went from a 16.4 to a 15.4 i do have a 94 ex coupe and it was a dry shot .... now a 75 wet shot i wanna feel that!!!! no matter what just do it dont listen to people saying ur gonna blow ur ish couse they just dont know see for ur self how u like it

Well I think I have a few parts out of the way now, a guy I know is going to sell me a front mount for the transmission old one is messed up new radiator and a header woota. Now I just need to make a trip to the honda dealer ship and pic up a valve cover bolt check my timing do another compression test and order my 55 shot fuel jets...

I am thinking about buying his mega squirt stand alone what are some thoughts on this? opinions welcome plz

I'm also looking to start getting into some nitrous. I plan to start off with a 50 shot with some upgrades to the fuel system for now. I just feel like my y8 is a little slow now...

What are you going to do to your fuel system and why just for a 50 shot? also what kind of kit are you going to buy? I have heard the stock injectors are good unless your looking to go above a 75 shot, correct me here plz cause I know I am not right on but aren't the stock injectors good to flow 220hp or so and the fuel rail is good for like 350+?(flame away) but I guess if your going to tune then it could be better to have some DSM blue tops or something. I would think if your just going to a 50 shot money spent on other things may help more but again newbie so not 100%(again flame away)

But on another note I have a few updates I am getting my hands on a radiator front mount support and a header. things seem to be moving along nicely. I am also ordering the 50 shot jets today and the nitrous filter.. Still need to get that compression test done and the valve cover bolt but I should get that done tomorrow or Sat. Will keep you updated and take some crap pics with my phone once I have something fun to show you guys :werd:
