How's it going guys? Long time reader, wanted to join because I can't find the answers to some of my questions. I've had a 95 DX hatch for a few years, it had a d15b7 but I threw a rod. Recently bought a JDM d15b non VTEC because the guy at JDM alliance in Dallas told me it would be a straight swap. Its my fault for not doing my own research, but I'm running into a lot of problems and was hoping I could get some help on here.

Thanks! My old motor is your typical d15b7. My new motor is a JDM d15b non VTEC. Its stamped d15b on the block and on the top right of the head there is a 98 stamp.

The problem I'm trying to solve before I drop the motor in is I know the d15b7 was obd1. I have the stock p06 ecu. What I'm trying to figure out is if the JDM d15 is obd1 or 2. And if it is obd2 then what am I gonna have to do.

I was able to mount my b7 distributer to the b if that helps at all.
