napa has came out with their own full synthetic oil and wondering if it's worth getting. i heard rumors saying it's mobile1, or royal purple. but i asked the person who was working, and he said it's valvoline with a special additive. but if this oil was mobile1 and etc then this can be a big save on cash, due to how much mobile1 costs at the moment. does anybody know what oil napa's new synthetic oil is?

can't say what that is, but check out bobistheoilguy.com Someone on there will know.
whatever oil is cheapest at whatever store I go to, for me.
sixteen dollars at walmart. oh yeah
Someone find out, it would be nice to be able to get cheap Mobile1 synthetic.
I heard mobile one changed their base formulas to a "lesser" base. Still tryin to find the link.

Anywho, Mobile1 isn't that expensive to start with. You can get a 5qt container of Mobile1 for what... $18 then $7 for a good filter(not sure what a Honda filter cost now... got no honda dealers in the area).

So $25 for a full syn oil change... That's about average cost of a non-syn oil change at your local lube place. Not that anyone would actully take their car there....unless they need someone to supply a new motor ;)
i figured that everyone should know the secret behind (Full synthetic oil). To be considered (Full synthetic oil) it the oil itself only has to be 15% synthetic so most people are getting ripped for it. The only full synthetic oil is amzoil and redline. Just to save everyone a few bucks.
why you think I run the dino stuff.

$10 oil changes at 5k-7k miles, my motors have never EVER sludged up, matter of fact, mine are some of the cleanest esp with 245,000 miles on the car!!!!!

Full as in 100%? Where's your source? Just because legally 15% is "fully" synthetic, doesn't mean that manufacturers make it only 15% though. I'm sure that some are at much higher concentrations.
what does dino mean? regular oil?..??

Lol I wondered the same.
i have talked to a friend of mine that is a rep for mobil one and mobile one is only 15% synthetic and he said that most others out on the market are also. I also know a rep for amzoil and he says there are some tractor trailers that have used the same oil in there engines for a million miles, because of how the oil is, you have to buy a setup that has two oil filters, first being stock which filters down to ten microns, and then there filter that filters down to 1 micron, you dont change the oil just the filter every 12-15 thousand miles and there filter is only like 8 bucks. It makes up for it very well, but i just dont know if i could trust the same oil like that for that long. but just some facts for ya.
