OK I've run into an OBD-2 engine
engine coded "D15B"
the Exterior looks a lot like the D16Y7 with the same valvecover, side mounted dipstick, and Metal HG.
The block stamp on the back reads "P2A" which is also the same as the SOHC "ZC" stamped NON VTEC engines
The intake manifold looks just like the Y7 set-up with a single vertical TB and curvy runners.
I read up on Google and it appears the 96^ D15B engines have 9.4 C/R
Head stamp is still P2A just like the "ZC" stamped NON VTEC engines.
Would be pretty interesting to see what inside these lil dudes.

does it have 2 vtec solenoids on the back of the head? That's the 96+ d15b that i know about... the 3-stage vtec.

Maybe someone in japan took apart a d15b and slapped a sohc zc head on it...
