Ok, here it is. I have a 95 si (d16z6) with just basic boltons. I want to build it and turbo it. I will go with really nice turbo in the future but right now I can get a 98 eclipse gsx turbo and all the pieces for it (i mean everything) for free because my friend is upgrading his turbo. It has about 50k on it, so should be pretty good still. Do u guys recommend i put this on my car for now and if so can anyone that lives in socal area help me, i am not to good at this stuff. Thanks for your help and responses.

go 4 it
he givin it 2 u 4 free?

remember, most of the stuff(piping, manifold, downpipe) from his car
will NOT work on urs,
but it still a good start

just dont thing youll be able to hook up his turbo to your car lickety split
I think that the only usable thing would be the turbo itself. He *may* be able to rig up the intercooler if he is getting that.

You can use the turbo, intercooler(even though it's junk), injectors and BOV is equiped. If I remember right those turbos have the bypass valve mounted on the turbo. :?:

You still have a lot of pieces to get before you go slapping a turbo on your car. What are you going to use for fuel management? What kind of manifold are you getting? Do you have A/C? Are you going to keep it if you do have it?

Thanks for the help dr.boost. Im not sure where the blowoff valve is, but i am pretty sure it is on the piping. Next, I dont have ac (bought thecar in cali, ac was an option back then, doesnt get very hot here) so I am ok in that field. Lastly, I will put a FMU on it and dsm injectors whick i am getting also and I already have a apex vafc and the use of a dyno totune it all. If there is anything else you can think of I would really appreciate the help.

You have to use eiother the FMU and your stock injectors, or an AFC with the DSM injectors. I would suggest the AFC with the DSM injectors.

Your going to need an adapter plate to match the turbo to the manifold, depending on what kind of manifold you use. Do a seach on egay for "Turbo manifold".

so from the looks of it , your gettin a free turbo, some piping, an intercooler , injectors and a bov ....maybe you should get specific z6 piping and a new bov as well as new fuel lines, fuel rail, maybe a fuel pump lets not forget downpipe, manifold, turbo intake but all that stuff is easy to find .. dude u live in san diego go to a tuner shop and have them hook you up with everything u need , i live up north in los angeles, and i know tons of people who could supply u with what you need .... always make sure to have the right fuel managemnet and setup or else you wont be utilizing the turbos full poetential .. good come up
