I am installing a new head gasket, I had taken off the rocker assembly and valves to have them cleaned and when I received the parts back these were in the box. I have the rocker assemble and spring reattatched and am just delaying putting the head back on until I figure out what this part is.

They are cylinders, that measure roughly 1.1cm in length and 1cm in diameter

I have no idea where they go any help would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks!

They look like head alignment dowels but solid.

The Cylinder head, and the alignment dowels are already in the block and are hollow. That's what I thought they were at first as well.

I apologize, this is my first foray into anything of this sort.
