i put in a new (well new to me) trans yesterday and it has a drip leak where the shift rod goes into the tranny. in this hole;

am i missing a seal here? there is about a 1/2 inch space around the rod where it goes into the trans. it drip leaks but by the time a few hours go, it's a puddle. please help! transzex im sure you'd know this one. there must be some kind of seal that goes here and i cant look at the old trans, i gave it away to a fellow d-series member right when i pulled it. thanks

can be done on car with ease, make sure to drain the tranny first.......

I'd do it as part of a oil change service.........

I think a 9/16" deep well socket is what is needed to install the seal.
