Im gonna stick with my 15g for a while so i bought a godspeed t2 manifold to aid in better breathing, in also getting rid of the cast greddy elbow and making a ss elbow.

Do i need an external wastegate, i was just gunna blank it

No its not needed.
If you run higher boost I would weld the flapper close and use an external wg.
The main reason is a few psi over what the internal gate is set to and it won't hole in the exhaust.

So yes it's safe to just get a block off plate for the manifold.

You don't NEED an external wastegate but IMO external makes life easier if you wanna clock or change the turbo later on. If you got a working internal wastegate, just use it.

External gate will give you greater control over boost pressure, and also give you the ability to run greater amounts of boost.

The internal gate will be prone to creeping or spiking and falling. They are rarely ever stable (at pressures other than OEM intended) without a solenoid controlled by the ECU.

Cheers for all advice, one last question, the cheaper manifolds that seem to have the wastegate positioned on one runner rather than at the exit point of all four runners, is this a huge disadvantage in terms of boost control or exhaust flow?
