first off 91 octane fuel
looking to get a reliable daily driver looking for low14's sec bracket with respect to 1/4 mile time.

option a) boost
d16z6 or a6
arp rod bolts and headbolts.
sls mani with evo3 16g turbo and 2.5 downpipe
2.5 inch piping ,precision 350hp intercooler.
turbo xs boost controller.
rc310 injectors i dont plan to go over 10psi.
bov whatever i get
mishimoto rad and dual fal fans.
tuning with chrome.


option b)n/a with nos
larger tb. short ram intake.
4-2-1 headers with 2.25 inch catback
crower stage2 cam and valvetrain
arp rod and head bolts
oem p29 pistons.
50shot of NOS wet .
tuning with chrome
rc310 injectors..

some other misc stuff that will be done.
new oem seals .
waterpump ,timing belt and tensioner..
s20 tranny with act 4puck clutch and fidanza flywheel

question. do i need aftermarket rods and what are your recommendations with explainations.

personnaly for a drag car i would go with a boosted setup...

if your going to bracket race the car, i would go NA. just NA with a very short trans (aka near top of 5th when you pass the 1/4 mark).

why? = cause it will be the most consistant. once you get the feel for the car, it will be able to make consistant runs down the 1/4 no problem. plus you can't run out of gas or accedentally have a boost spike. consistancy owns bracket racing.

^^he's right, i didn't see that you wanted 14 second BRACKET racing...reading pwnz me...lol
