D16z6 OBD1 from 94 civic SI
I also have a d16y7 Block with good pistons but block has been decked beyond usable limits (machinist Mistake)
I also have a d16z6 intake mani sitting arround as well.

I haven't really started the project but I am wondering what you guy's think about the setup things you would change and why. Or if there is something inherantly a bad combo tell me why, otherwise just tell me what you think I would appreciate it.

Thanks

Mmmhmm, well...

Before I give you an opinion about what you have, what are your goals?
Bigger exhaust, and run some beefier pistons and rods if you plan to really use that turbo for what it's worth. The rest of the setup looks good.

How over decked is the Y7 block anyway?
if your gonna use a crower stage 1.. save the money and use a stock cam.. wont notice much of a difference
Well my goals are about 190-210 wheel Hp, I want a peppy, streetable, and fun daily driver Reliable and all.
I have a High Horsepower RX-7 for my fun car.

Well it came with my y8 head so figured why not... any other reason not to use it?
Nope, if you have it you might as well run it, unless you get a good offer on it to get a stage 2.
Hmm, with those power goals.. I wouldn't even worry about spending the money on getting pistons/rods..
No, probebly not needed, that's aiming pretty low for haveing such a promising turbo.
well I really don't want to deal with having to purchase pistons and rods and that is my estimated HP on wastegated boost without boost controller.
what is the maximum SAFELY I can run on stock internals?

Tuning is key when dealing with HP limits on stock motors. They are fragile and dont take any pinging or detonation well.

With a good, safe tune I'd say you could make 200HP at 10-12 psi

That is the Power I planned to make so I should be good for my setup as far as Pistons and Rods then.
