Right now 8300 because of stock b16 Valve springs :TD: But I have titanium Valve springs and Retainers :TU: Im going to have Bob send me a chip with a higher launch, and Im thinking a 9000 redline. But I need to get it dyno'd to see where my car stops making power. No need to have a redline much higher than where Im not making power

I think their ls...huh, Ill look into a good set somewhere.
ls bearings are the weakest b16 are ok but gsr bearings are the best..you have to have the tang regrooved to use in a ls block, but gsr bearing will not flake at high rpms.....

the bearings are not all at fault for being weak in the lsvtecs. the ls bottom ends do not come balanced like the gsr and b16. at high rpm you have alot of vibration which causes wear on the bearings. inorder to rev that thing to 9000 safely you are going to have to balance your entire bottom end.

The rods are ballanced. I talked to a local engine builder. He said there isnt a problem with Rod bearings. As long as their in the tolarances, and put in right, He said they will be fine. He built motors that revved to 9500 on stock rod bearings.
