it could be your valve lash...i just worked swapping heads on my RSX, and didnt adjust the valve lash properly, my car ticked like crazy...after the lash adjustment it went away.

have you ever played with the timing on your dizzy? too much advance will also cause that.

oh, with the car off?

thats usually your engines metal cooling down (metal does compress and decompress do to heat)...and the catalytic dispersing heat...happens to any car...
