i just got done building my d16z6 and i can get a mitsu turbo off a 1997 eclipse gst manual for next to nothin off my brother. Do you think i should go for it with that?i'm not sure what turbo it is i'm thinking the 16g but not 100% sure.

the dsm turbo is a good starting point but its water cooled and oil cooled

Whats your point? Is there someone wrong with it being water/oil cooled?


That turbo is a T25. Its small and should be fun with a quick spool. If you use it I suggest you run the water lines.

T25 = ouyt of breath at like 6000 RPM's... if you want a great turbo, go a T28, T3 .42 .48, or a T3 .48 .60.

if the turbo is "next to nothing" as far as cost you would be a fool to spend more money on anything else.

But you built your motor.. ok... grab the T25. Sell it. Buy a T3
