ok so i replaced the dizzy and plugs and the car runs great. cept at full boost it misses like a machene gun. whats the deal

its fine every where else.

the screw to the rotor cap is missing is that a possibility?

timing off a hair?

i heard stock honda coils are good up to 400hp+

the coil is new its a new dizzy

i have a full msd extercaoil setup that i used to run. i dont want the extra stuff in the bay anymoe

yep. I run mine at .26-27ish What temp are the plugs too. BOO to iradiums yuck! Either that or you need to pull more timing under boost. What are you using for tuning?

try a .28 gap

its only 7.5lbs of boost .3o gap is what i ran on my last set

y do i need to all of the sudden need to pull timing, b/c of the new dizzy?


jimmy how did ur car react when the gap was bigger at full boost l

did you put a timing gun on it and verify mechanical base timing?

.28 -.30 is a typical gapping.

yea i aimed it at the cam, i got the digital badass

i cant really see the crankpully do u do it from the top or bottom?

There is a mark on the crank pulley and a Little gauge with degree maks/numbers hanging on the lower timing cover. Point the light Directly down at the crank pulley and then look for the mark to pass the gauge.

you want to get the straightest possible line of sight to the crank, then it should be on the red mark (theres 2 or 3 total timing marks, 1 red 2 white) i think if you have a haynes manual it will tell you.

if your missing the screw on the rotor im willing to bet that's your problem.
