I have 2 complete motors, D15Z1 and D16Z6. I was thinking about doing a mini-me build. As I understand from what I've read in the forums, I would have to use the Z1 block, Z6 head, Z6 pistons, and the P28 ECU. Right now I'm running the Z6 in my 92 VX hatch w/ the P28. I swapped the Z6 in for the Z1 because the Z1 was burning oil like crazy and I got a deal on the Z6 w/ P28 ECU for $300. Anyway... the Z1 was running great except the fact that it was burning oil. Now the Z6 isn't running all that great after timing it, putting in new spark plugs, wiring the o2 sensor, etc... So what i was thinking was if the Z1 was burning oil it's either the valve seals, head gasket, or piston rings. So if I were to use the Z1 block, Z6 head, Z6 pistons, and a new head gasket I shouldn't have any problem with the motor burning oil... what do you all think?
