I searched the links posted for swap info on a y7 motor, but couldn't find any (I could just be blind).
Anyhow, my girlfirend has a '00 Dx w/ the y7 motor.
I've got two spare Z6 heads complete with manifolds just waiting to be used. I want to do a mini-me swap on her car.
Will there be any problems with OBD 1 - 2? Will it be as easy as an A6 motor?
Her car is also automatic, with there be any problems finding an ECU?

You should be able to find a Auto P28 ecu pretty easy. Maybe even cheap if you look hard enough. I dont think you would have a problem swapping the z6head/IM combo onto a 00 y7. The main thing would be the wiring.

if you were to find an auto p28, then you're going to need an OBD2->OBD1 ECU jumper harness. use the p28 distributor and itake manifold and everything should plug right up.

If you are afraid of wiring you could always find an auto ex harness as well.
