Was just wondering if anyone has a better idea of an amp

Speakers are:

Sony Xplod: XS-L120P5W

* 1200-watts max
* 350-watts continuous (RMS)
* 5-sided polypropylene cone for lower distortion, louder & deeper bass
* Stroke stabilizer rubber surround
* Single 4 ohm 6-layer voice coil
* Gold-plated binding posts

i have 2. now i also have the Sony XPLOD 2-channel 1000-watt amp

* Sony XPLOD with MOSFET circuitry blows the doors off the competition
* 2-channel 1000-Watt unit designed to work specifically (but not exclusively) with other XPLOD components
* Amplifier is great centerpiece in a new or upgraded car audio system
* Bridgeable dual channel amplifier
* RMS Power: 1000-Watt 4-Ohm 2-channel or 500-Watt 2-Ohm 2-channel
* Frequency Response: 5Hz-50KHz
* Signal to Noise Ratio: 100dB
* THD at Rated RMS Power: 0.04
* Low - Pass Frequency: 80Hz-80Hz

I'm not looking for a comp setup or anything just maybe a better amp for a little more power? any ideas. don't hate on the speakers it's just for me enjoyment.

yes.. and also that could be backwards i just copied off a website =X
Holy shit, I just edited your post instead of quoting :sadface:
Sorry. Anywho my Post below.

It's backwards, and with sony's you are talking between 1/2 & 3/4ths of what they state is the RMS depending on what you get.

Crapshoot ftl :(

+1, take a pass on Sony. Also, if you happen to let +/- speaker wires touch, it usually throws the amp into "protect" mode and you can't get it out. Even if you unplug the amp and pull all fuses. Usually have to send it to sony to have it reset.

if your looking for a four channel amp check out hertz or audison. cant beat the quality. If your not lookin to spend that much money check out mtx's new jackhammer series. They are stackable so you can save space as well.
