Found a local engine with no Intake mani or tranny has 50K on it
Guy wants $175, Seems to be a pretty good deal to me

Like I been saying Im shooting for 275 HP on just rods and pistons
Can I get away without havin to do valves/retainers/etc?

What Turbo Do you guys recommend for my 275 HP goal?
Would a Simple T3 setup be up to the task?

Suggestion on Pistons/Rods combo? Comp ratio?

Im trying to do the same thing as you.. Im gonna go with probably forged pistons/rods block guard, 14b, arp headstuds and a killer tune. Im gonna leave the head alone most likely.

I would go Eagle(or some variant) rods, Forged piston @ 10.0-1 C/R (or as close as you dare), A light port job, Studs, Posts or blockgaurd, 270 with the T3 might not be enough turbo it depends on the ar.

are we talking abotu crank or wheel power?
Wheel power, no the stock stuff will not hold long.
if crank then that's only like 225-235 wheel power and yes stock will hold that with a very good standalone system and professionaly tune

Im talking 270 Wheel HP

I dont mind doin some good rods and pistons
I just dont wanna mes with retainers valves and all that
how much gain would be had from a mild port job?

What did u think about gettin the motor for $175 pretty fair?
just needs an intake manifold

Besides the T3 what other turbos would be good for that range?

then yea rods and pistons. stocvk head can do it just fine.
you need a decent turbo setup and a nice standalone ecu system.
