I rather buy one from fidanza or any other know brand , that is the safe way to go, in case i go to a machine shop to do some work on a stock flywheel will be a place where they give me some warranty and know what they are doing  a stock flywheel shaved to 10pounds will be sweet.

stock flywheel cut and balanced to 12 pounds = $175, Street ACT = $200 for the same thing

How many shops REALLY balanced a flywheel to 10-12k rpms?????

That really is hard to answer , I've had a lightened stock flywheel blow , and I'm damn lucky I didn't loose my feet
(A/C cobra not a honda) that being said I run a stock one lightened to 13 pounds and ballanced by a master
you can lighten, but ballance and HOW it's ballanced will make the diffrrence
Hope this helps
