I am looking for a good performance camshaft for my new y8. It needs to have great low end torque and good higher rpm performance too. I DONT want to have to get springs and retainers. Plug and play!

If you have a aftermarket camshaft, please tell your experiences and help my research! :lol:

if you don't wont to get springs and retainers. you have to get a stage one cam don't known if it would be worth it. I have a crower stage 2 with springs and retainers,i shift at 8000 rpm and i make power up to 7500
132.5whp and 106 torque

What other mods do you have done? Tell me what else you did to get it to that much HP. Thats pretty much where I want to be.

i all so have forged pistons about 11.5/1 apexi vtec controler
kamiquiz header. Tuned on the dyno with a w/b o2 cam gear
under drive pullies and i tune on 16" wheels and a cat
i all so have a jdm tranny with a lsd

i have this cam in my z6.it make good power at the top.i do not have the springs and retainers yet.i wiil go to the dyno soon to set the ignition and cam timing to make more power. the last time i tested the car at the strip it runs [email protected] with out the cam, and now that i installed the cam the car runs a lot better at the top end when the vtec kick in.this is a great cam.

ROBTEC you never said what kind of cam you have?!

Is it neccessary for me to get high compression pistons to reach 135whp?

crower stage 2

it is not neccessary to have high comp. ratio to get 135hp to the wheels,try every bolt on before raising the comp. ratio(msd ignition,iridium spark plugs,racing pulleys,cam sproket,cam,fuel rail,intake manifold,groung wires,racing clutch,phantom grip,vtec controller,a good 4-1 header and cai)look at all the stuff you can install before raising the comp. ratio.tomorow probably i will be going to the dyno. i will let you know the results :wink:

Um..whats "phamtom grip"?? listed in your list of upgrades I should do.

Besides crower stage 2, anybody else have experience? I have heard different things about ZEX cams but I dont use nitrous and their site is confusing. Any help here? And what about cam gears? Is it necessary to have one to dial in the HP?

And what is your set up? Sorry if I missed it, I am new. Can your car hold a si?

just wondering whats the % to take out for 5 spd tranny??

so so port and polished head(amateur job),ractive header port matched to the exhaust ports,custom cai,custom n1 style exhaust sistem with no cat made from 2 1/4 inches aluminized tubing,crower stage 2 cam,racing crank pulley,no a/c and power steer.138 hp with no tuning.soon 150 at least with tuning.

i already beaten si,gsr,eclipse gst,zc powered crx,d16y8 powered 86civic hatch,souped up ae92 corrolla and many more
