Seemed like the youtube videos that installed this shifter in their civic all had issues. Some had to cut out the mounting area or mount the plate crooked or cut off their counter weight. To avoid these issues I reused my oem mounting plate and bolts and made sure the slimmer / flatter part that attaches to the shift linkage faced the rear of the car. I reused my oem boot by removing the collar this enlarged the opening so you can slip over the lower part of the shifter.
Shifts perfectly!

You got the lean back version, i couldn't figure out why it looked off compared to mine haha.

Yup, ran into the same install issues you mention, but I wasn't willing to give up that super nice billet pivot plate. Once it all bolted down, that plate reinforced the stamped OEM steel just fine:

Installed similar type of shifter, not Ktuned, in a 1g Integra, love it.
