Hi all, hope my question is relevant in this section.

I have just installed the JRSC kit with a fuel regulator on my stock D16z6 and my unichip tuner/mechanic is telling me that before he starts tuning for me, i would need to upsize my injectors with an uprated fuel pump or there won't be enough fuel to power up during boost.

The question is if i really NEED to upgrade those parts as i'm frankly quite comfortable if i would be able to make stock but efficient power from just the kit alone.

i ran on stock injectors with the jrsc fuel map and a walbro 255 pump then went and tuned on 450 injectors so it would be safe to go either way

Injectors maybe, fuel pump no.

The JRSC guys will tell you what injectors you need based on your setup. Or just overkill and get 450s.

Injectors aren't absolutely necessary but it's a VERY good idea to invest...the 450cc DSM blue tops are usually what people go with.

Fuel pump isn't necessary but is a good idea if you have the money to buy a walbro 255.

450s no need to upgrade fuel pump unless it has alot of miles on it and a tune.

nothing more nothing less.


If you dont trust your fuel pump, a WALBRO 190 is perfect. the 255's are loud and noisy, and way overkill
