dont know too much about boosting my car. I am young and new to the honda scene. I have a d16y7 with a jrsc. Was wondering how I should time my car and my ignition. Spark Plug gaps? Do I need a new MAP sensor, ECU?
My car is running like sh**. I just cant get it tuned right just yet. Keeps sputtering and cutting out. I have BBK adjustable cam gear.
Any help is appreciated.
Chris.

since you don't mention any fuel/ignition management, i will ASSume you are using a stock ecu.
that would be the first thing you need to fix.

Yeah I am using the stock one for now. Need to save up for a better one. What do you recommend? A standalone or a piggyback?
@neonpinhead
there is some sort of sensor on my sc. looks like a boost pressure sensor. I can take a pic and post if youd like? Other than that I don't know how to relocate the map from the throttle body to the intake. Do I need a new map that can read boost?

like pinhead, i recommend an obd1 conversion harness, a chipped ecu and crome, ectune, neptune, etc.

How much boost are you running? as i see you have no ecu i would recomend putting some 91 or higher grade gas and putting your spark plug gap down to 38-40 and retarding the distributor a bit so you dont kill your motor. You can always park your car and not drive it and save money for a ecu or some piggy back unit
