just rebuilt a buddy's jdm d15b that he had laying around( just put rings in it) but the motor had no head so i had a z6 head fresh from the machine shop laying around and built a complete engine, dropped it in and it adles VERY rough and dies, i thought it was because i had the b7 dizzy hacked to fit so i knew timing would be off, i put the z6 dizzy off my car onto it to see if it fixed it.... nope same thing timing belt is spot on, i triple checked that shit ... idle screw is all the way opened for it to even half way idle. and it bogs when you give it gas untill it hits a certain rpm, then it picks up

You need to run the y-series cam gear.
Us D16 cams are 4.5* advanced on a d15 block.
How did the bearings look?
