Bout to drop my JDM D15B VTEC in my 1989 Honda CRX HF, does anyone know if a 1.6 SOHC VTEC or non-VTEC Timing Belt, waterpump, and or gaskets will work on it or not??? Kinda lost in need of help please.:noway:

they are all the same D-series is D-series....

be a good idea to put the new stuff on before you put it in your car...

Timing belt = specific to head + block, use the D16Z6 belt in this case(I think)
Water pump = specific to block
And yes, it is easier to put them on before you drop it in.

for the jdm d15b you will need d15z1 parts, it's the same block ... the timing belt is 1 teeth shorter than the d16z6 belt so your cant use it

for the timing mark use d15z1 marks

also use d15z1 water pump, tensionner ....

There is an entire thread listing specific parts for the D15B. It was a great resource while I had mine.
