Is the jdm D15B motor basically a D15 block with the Z6 head on it. I need a Z6 distributor and people are telling me that the jdm D15B will fit, i want to make sure before i buy one. they say the Z6 distributor is a TD43, does the jdm D15B carry the same part number. any info will be greatly appreciated.

Yes the dist will work. Sure does on mine :)

The head is basicaly the same as a z6 but the block is more of a VX.

would i be better to build the Z6 or build a D15B7 block and use the Z6 head on it. i know with the Z6 head on the B7 the compression will be higher. just wanting to build the right combination.

What exactly do you mean by "build" is my question. Internals, going for all motor, building for boost? If you plan on remaining stock or all motor then of course you would want a larger displacement engine. Let us know your goals and we can better point you in the right direction.
