My friend has a b7 with a JRC. It runs 14s. He's a road racer, not a drag racer.
That won't work on a JRSC. I think there is an "aftercooler" modification that can be done to the JRSC but unless you are running BIG boost its not needed. The JRSC runs about 6lbs as-is but can be bumped up with a pulley change.yes you can run an intercooler with a supercharger http://auto.howstuffworks.com/supercharger.htm its near the bottom
also d15= small mains like a reg 1.5d15b=regular d16 rods.
can run any amount of boost a z6 can without a problem at all.
That is true unless you're willing to modify the JRSC. Like these people do...with the supercharger which is install instead of the throtle body u cant add an intercooler. while if u hv some other type of supercharger u can
Until recently I was running the same setup with a 4-1 header. On that motor you can hit 7psi before having to worry about temp issues. But, that's pretty common among the d-series motors. The JRSC for the D-series isn't nearly as efficient as the latest K-series which can hit 12psi before extra cooling is required.im savin up for a superchager i got stock d15b with 4-2-1 header and custom 2" pipes. what would be a save amount of boost. can u run a intercooler with a superchager ?
You can use a small shot of nitrous to cool the intake charge.im savin up for a superchager i got stock d15b with 4-2-1 header and custom 2" pipes. what would be a save amount of boost. can u run a intercooler with a superchager ?
Yeah, but anything over 7psi and you'd be pumping nitrous regularly. That'd get expensive versus water/methanol injection. You can use a small shot of nitrous to cool the intake charge.
You would use it only while racing. Not all the tme.Yeah, but anything over 7psi and you'd be pumping nitrous regularly. That'd get expensive versus water/methanol injection.
Then what's the point of cooling the air charge? You'd need it daily just to drive the thing. The jackson hits max boost at 3600rpm. I have too much of a lead foot perhaps. You would use it only while racing. Not all the tme.
no, you'll be fine running it on there. I ran the boost upgrade on my stock bottom end with 180,000+ miles on it with no problemsI have a jrc but will i need to modify my bottom end?
More than it cost to turbo it and get lesser results ^_-^^ how much can a dseries jrsc be had for these days?
A fair price for a used "complete" kit is around $700. It may be possible to locate a new kit stashed away somewhere, but they haven't been produced for a couple years.^^ how much can a dseries jrsc be had for these days?
