what is different from a Y7 block to a Y8 block? and what would i have to do to put my Y8 head on it

there is now difference in the blocks themselves only what goes in/on the blocks.

like im prolly gonna get a cheap Y7 block and put the build in my sig then put my Y8 head on it. i guess all i am asking is what all would i need to do to put my Y8 head on a Y7 blcok

y8 block had a nock sensor, and not the same stamp :p

you will have little bit flatter pistons in y8 but lower compression height, it's IMHO the same fuckin' thing, about .1 CR. Everything else is the same.

^actually i think both blocks got stamped P2E on the bottom but the engine code stamp is where the difference is at

are you sure the y7 has an oil thingie in the block, the mini-me how-to i read didn't say anyhting about it...

if it's there, remove it. if not, then your good.

ok cool so looks like im gonna be picking up a Y7 block and boosting the hell outa that so of a bitch

remove the oil orifice out of the deck of the block, change your ecu, then your good. :)
what does it look like the oriface? and im running a P28 so that aint a problem

EDIT: and i checked. the y7 block does not have one of these.
