sounds too good to be true but open wheel racing is gonna be unified and better than ever this year, well at least in a couple of years at least!

i've been a fan of all types of racing since i was about 5, but have most enjoyed the speed and technical aspect of indy cars.

after watching too many boring run away victorys in both series it seems the next couple of years could prove some of the best open wheel racing esp if the rule book and the decision makers don't screw it up

tracy vs helio
rahal vs danica
power vs andreti
etc.

shoot the rest of them have already headed to nascar!

wonder if some of them hornish, franchitti, villenuve, montoya, carpentier, allmendinger, etc. will come back to open wheel racing after they get sick of finishing in the back of the pack!

what do you guys think?

i agree guys hopefully they can blend the best of both series together!

best outcome would be something like this

1.thirty teams in series twenty of which are good quality winning teams
2. good split amongst super speedways, small ovals, "street" courses, and permanent road courses
3. as close to equal as possible engine packages, turbo vs na
4. multiple, but equal chasis manufactures
5. multiple, but equal tire manufactures
6. american drivers, engines, chasis, products, sponsors, and race tracks
7. red/soft tire rule incorporated like in f1 and former champ cars
8. rules to limit fuel strategy
9. exciting practice or at least qualify situtaions
10. good racing!

what do you guys think anthing else you'd like to see, hate to see?
