I'm using a tube an fin intercooler on my tuned d16 turbo but i wanna change with a bar plate one with the same size/ specs. Will this affect the tune? possibly make the car run slower or better? I'm guessing it won't affect the tune and probably make it run better. but i wanna double check lol so any help will be appreciated

it shouldnt effect the tune unless you have boost leaks on your current setup and seal them up when putting the new one on or vise versa.
also see how much pressure loss each one has and compare them.

:sweatdrop: ok cool and yea i don't got any boost leaks or any problems so far. it's been boosted for almost a year now and still running strong. i even change the bov but it didn't seem to affect the tune. I'd figure it wouldn't because i had the greddy type s replica then switched to the real one. hopefully this turns out right, i will post back the differences between them and pressure loss or any gains. thanks

In all honesty it won't do a hell of a lot to anything.

When you're dealing with a mild street turbo setup, cooling is cooling.

Only when you get into the many-many-hundred horsepower range does little efficiency stuff like this come into play.
