Best intake i say is the iceman intake i only use the short ram part but gain are notice its made of plastic so it dosnt heat up as much as aluminum and its take a 3 1/2 air filter and that shit be suckin in some air.. only bad thig is that there is no bypass valve for it because the piping is 3 1/2in and a bypass valve wont fit. but with only the short ram in it goes down pretty far it fits a little under the Header so in my opion cold air isnt needed. good stuff tho will always buy it ...

I also use Iceman--and yes, only the short ram part, but that's not by choice. I bought it second hand, and the CAI extension was missing.

I've owned 2 AEM Cold Air intakes and 1 Opak Short Ram.

The AEM's served me well but I can't argue that ICEMAN could be better, I don't know from experience.

But I will give AEM it's props, good price and noticable gain.

IIMO all intakes are basically the same with regard to a couple (plus or minus 2-3) hp.
only 2-3 HP????????

I think NOT!!!!!!!!

I see 8 whp and 9 ft/lb of torque.

Tune your intake like you tune a tuba.

is that AEM cai compared to generic 3 inch short ram or a generic 3 inch cold air?

Just curious if we're comparing apples to apples or apples to oranges...

I have an AEM, and from personnal experiance, I can say that the CAI ALONE shortened the 0-60 time one second. I went from doing 0-60 in 9.5 sec. to 8.5 sec.

I couldn't afford the AEM so I bought the IEN ebay version, which has the same piping, and I put on a K&N filter, big difference, anyone who doesn't use a high flow filter is wasting money IMO.

I really like the fact that it comes with the little rubber piece that helps absorb vibrations down near the hole in the front

I have a 96 civic HX with Akimoto intake which has done me good for years, but the AEM shortram i installed in my girls 96 ex accord might just make me a slight more inclined that their product could be better. By the way has anybody used the Dragon series Weapon Intake? They look like garbage to me, but the air flow capibility might actually be good with that intake..just wondering.
