I have read in other post that all you need to do to get a tach in your DX is to install a EX or Si cluster in your dash. I have tried this and the spedo is reading fast by about 15mph. the cluster I picked up is from a auto and my car is manual. Are there any other adjustments I need to make or does anyone have an idea why this is happening.

The original cluster kept the correct speed within 5MPH.

does that mean I need to replace it? It is located on top of the transmission correct?

correct, because of the different gear ratio you will most likely need a VSS from an EX.

someone correct me if im wrong?

i'm pretty sure all d vss's are the same. at least i can't find places that sell more than one type for each generation. but i can't find speed sensors at all on any of the oem parts sites.
