I might be picking up a 1996 HX coupe (pretty sweet deal), but the car currently has an aftermarket pop-up style sunroof in it, and I would definitely want the oem power roof. I'm guessing this will involve reskinning the roof sheetmetal with one from an EX/Si? I don't think that should be too huge of a deal, but just dunno if the deal I'm getting on the car is worth the trouble or not...

anyone ever tried anything stupid like this?

its a bitch to do compared to... doing full quarters on an eg coupe? or compared to doing a swap? or ...??

cause I have another friend who's brother might be willing to sell me his 2000 si, he wants alot more than the kid with the hx but the si would be a sweet deal also considering the car is mint

well if you can get the Si, then get it. If not, just re-skin the HX and go with your OEM sunroof

I got a oem power moonroof out of a 2000 si with 10,000 miles on it complete its been sitting in storage. Complete except for the 2 relays under the dash. Want it.
i dunno, maybe- i'll have to see which car i end up getting

got the roof skin too? ie parts car or just leftover parts laying around?

i'm thinking shipping that whole deal from there to here would be $$
