i'd be concerned about the strength of the header peice. it wasn't designed to carry the weight of a turbo.

but still, props for doing something different. hope it works for ya

bracing does wonders....!

why do you think ssac was having their manifolds crack..... they were the same size(thickness) as header piping

and now it is still paper thin... but braced

same here

but bracing could help. im thinking making some strong braces that carry the full weight of the turbo. something like, if you took the head flange off, the braces would hold the turbo in midair. that should aleviate any stress on the upper part of the mani
this is like what I posted up a while back. im still thinking about doing it to the d15b7 since the ls is gone.
i've been telling a buddy of mine to put a turbo d in his integra for ever...he's laughed at me every time.
i just got done pulling a d16z6 out of an integra yesterday before i pulled the ls out of my car. he was planning on building it and turboing it. but he ended up trading it off for a piece of shit b18c
Thats sweet! It would be really cool if he sold them...i've got an e-bay header hanging out in the garage
i wonder if a stock 2 peice mani would be able to hold up??
yup it sure will:beer:
wrong link i think? Where could i get hold of the 2-1 collector for the exhaust inlet? That setup also needs new gaskets made as the original ones burnt through in a day!
why is the d in an integra?

i tried reading most of that write up and i dont believe they said

i believe the car was bought pretty much stripped, and that was the motor put in due to budget...
I should try to make one with my new tig.
Equal Length Split housing MHI Evo 16G FTW...

Hmmm...
Hey Geoff, I have my old cast manifold... should be strong enough without any bracing. We could try it with that.

What about the wastegate(s)? You think we'd need two to completely separate the exhaust pulses? I have some ideas I'd like to try.

oh, thanks for helping with my suspension. feels MUCH better now.

EVO 8 turbo has seperate holes in the turbine housing and are both controled by the single internal gate.
Anything else will need twin gates...
Glad the suspension's all good. did it settle lower? That was a quick job... I'm happy we didn't have any bolt issues. I was really worried

It's still at a 2 finger gap and I hope it stays that way. I really like the extra ground clearance. I should have put those coilovers in a long time ago :TU: have to change my sig now lol

Anybody know if any T3 turbos come with a twin scroll exhaust houshing? I'm only asking because the inlet flange on the EVO turbo has a weird, kind of triangular, inlet shape. It may be hard to shape the pipes going into it. Other split scrolls I've seen have rectangular inlets and it may be easier to make. We could probably just shmush the pipes in a vice while heating it with a torch or something.
wrong link i think?
yeah sometimes i suck at the intra web.
