Order a Toga pump or have your y8 one ported and shimmed

Edit: OBD-0 and OBD-1 D-series have the dipstick tube mounted on the front of the block and not through the pump like the y7/y8 and H/F series motors

Probably because the oil was low and you didn't know. Not because you didn't have a dipstick :greddy: lol

LOL. Aka the dummy light. From what I remember, That light comes on when you barely have any oil left...like a reading of 9psi? LOL. If you see that light on, expect to rebuild >_<

run it if it starts to knock put some oil in it... repeat as often as necessary...

On a serious note there is a write-up some where about this problem and how some of the guys have fixed it some have accually drilled holes in the block to mount the dipstick (dont quote me on that, its what i seem to remeber..)

You build both motors, or did you purchase them and install them? Perhaps you need to get a Z6 motor.
