was just going to say fitv, take a look at it, unless you dont have one
I thought all z6's had FITV. OP you might also check that the FITV is functioning properly.

Maybe try a thicker, thermal gasket. It might fill in any gaps that a normal paper gasket wouldn't cover.

sorry about my english
first of all i have blocked the fitv because it always sucks air and now it doesn't suck any air the only thing that sucks air is the iacv it sucks alot when i put half my finger in the niple at the tp the car idle fine (full finger engine shut off)
i have tried a good known iacv from a running d16z6 and the same problem i have tried mine on that running engine idle fine so i have tried the carb cleaner and found the leak under the butter fly have made a gasket to the fitv and it doesn't suck any air

look at the back of the tb and see how it matches up to the broken spot. very well could be the problem. get someone to weld it up or try another manifold. DON"T use JB weld it can break off and go thru the motor.
