99 model hr-v with the d16a......is that a viable transmission for a daily? I'm hunting a new trans and keep seeing the hrv d16 trans left and right for a reasonable price roughly $200 cheaper than the rest
Was an imported fwd out of the UK. Only wanted $175. I found an s8g with 65k miles for $75 from a friend. I'm still genuinely curious about what's needed to use this trans though since it's become more available and wallet friendly than the s20 or s40. I know the hrv starter would be needed. Same axles? Linkage? Pure curiosity at this point, but my eyes tell me it'll work with original clutch/flywheel. Offers a beautiful final drive ratio too.
