One thing that they don't mention is marking the old belt and the cam/crank. I always do this, and find that it makes everything a LOT easier later on. Use nail polish and mark 2 spots on the cam pulley, and 2 on the cam pulley. Mark the belt where it meets these marks. Transfer those marks to the new belt, and so long as the cam/crank don't move, you just have to line up the marks.
