Friend from Thailand welcome!
By your question of "increasing capacity" I assume you mean increasing displacment???
If that is what you mean then you can only alter displacment by either changing the piston size or changing the stroke of the crank.
Both ways would take a lot of effort as well as $$$$
Your best bet is to find a 1.6 core if you're looking for more displacement.
i'm looking for more than 1.6L, and yes that's what i meant displacement (i'm not good at technical terms in English). I'm looking for more than that, i'm now swapped to 1.6. So can I use any dohc parts to build it up?
Ok, I picked up a 93 Civic CX about a month ago, and I’ve done a good amount to improve the drivability, as it is my daily. I’m already tired of the 70 horsepower the d15b8 produces, so I’m planning on swapping the stock head for a d16 VTEC head, I would like a z6 head with a y8 head gasket...
I have a 1990 crx si with the original d16a6. I wont to build the original motor. The head has had a value job and has been shaved. Machine shop has stated that the block needs to be bored out at least .10000. What is the best bore to go with being I have to bore it? And what pistons and rods...
Hey guys I researched and found alot of controversy on this topic people not including full writeups and so forth and calling bs saying it cant be done or he/she is a liar cause of lack of proof but im here to say it can be done! And is pretty straight forward too.
