Im planning to do a Mini-Me setup in spring time, wondering how reliable it is? is the high compression safe for the motor? cuz i heard some rings and connecting rods blowing and all. Also i want to get about mid 14s i drive a 95 Civic DX. also what aftermarket cams are a good setup? thx alot

i have a 92 cx with a mini me. it runs fine. you're only adding like 30 hp so everything will be ok. by a cam gear to so that it will be allot easier to get your ignition timming right. did you buy a head already? if not i'd reccomend a y8 head so that you can still use your dx distributor.

The d15b8 bottom isn't much or any different than any other 1.5 liter bottom.

so how much hp would y8 and z6 vtec head incarse on my car? 30? or is that on the CX long block? cuz mines DX long block? and whats a good safe setup for me to get like 15 seconds..? on the 1/4 mile? thx alot.

did you miss what i said? b8 and b7 bottem are the same. i ran a 16.9 with alot of wheelspin in first with just a z6 head and intake manifold, short ram intake, y8 trans and p08 ecu, gutted cat. that's all the mods i have done, no suspension or anything at all. if i would have gotten more track time i would have gotten an easy 15.7 or better. i still need a cam gear and exhaust.
