How much money have you spent on your turbo kit??

I'll start by posting how much I have invested

Turbo $100
Adapter plate $62
STD manifold free
DP and cheapo boost gauge trade, had to pay for shipping $15
BOV $30 shipped
starion intercooler $40 shipped
misc. fitting $20
tuner toys oil feed fitting $22
oil pressure gauge $20
tranny oil cooler line $10
chipped ecu w/ datalogging $70
chip burner $50
WBO2 $300
laptop $100, though I've used it for other stuff, bought it for burning chips. Over paid for it to.

Total $838

still need 450's, intercooler piping, possibly a different intercooler, probably couplers, maybe air filter for turbo, oil return line, HF and IHI turbo gaskets, and ebay cat. So, I'm probably looking at another $300.

You can put together a cheap kit if you get deals or hookup on parts. If not your going to put a little money into a kit. IF you run an FMU and forget it, it's obviously going to be a lot cheaper then doing it right with a chipped ecu and WBO2.

T-25 turbo and 02 housing with all the lines plus intercooler piping and 2g dsm intercooler $40
HF manifold $25
DP and boost gauge $60
BOV free
misc. fitting free
P-28 already have lying around for vtec swap i bought for $160
I just need boost controller which i have but wont go lower than 18 psi, hf mani to turbo adapter plate, oil lines that go off my block for feedline all of this i am looking at spending no more than $45 shipped boost controller, hf mani to turbo adapter plate $20, oil lines off block whole kit for d motor $80 shipped

So i have spent $125 and will spend no more than $250 when i am done just need to make an oil feedline off block to turbo and i knock it down to no more than $200 when i am done.

The reason i got all this stuff is i bought a wrecked 2g 95 tsi awd for $200 and i got all the stuff i needed sold the car for 900 and i used to own a dsm before the honda so i had some free parts lying around.

I think you might have the record.

Yeah, parting out turbo car's is great. They have a bunch of random shit that can be used. I parted out a ford probe gt that I got a few usefull parts from. The crossmember is in the way on EF's, but on EG's or EK's I'm pretty sure the stock DP on the ford probe gt will work if you use an IHI turbo, from me trying to mock it up to my EF. It has a flex pipe on it so it'll give a bit.

Like I said, unless you get super duper deals a turbo kit can get a little pricey. More then you think, before you start piecing one togehter.
