Good points. I was thinking stock dx trans. Maybe some sort of DSM turbo but nothing really small like a k03.It's not just about the HP. The area under the curve is more important than the peak.

At what race weight roughly was the 11.7 run made at? 117 is moving. Sounds like you may be over 300hp.I had a stock z6 with hf manifold and Mazdaspeed ko4 turbo that ran 13.8 on 14" street tires this was around 12psi on pump gas, but I never dynoed it so I can't say how much power it made. I would guess that a 200whp d16 on slicks with good driver could come close to 12s. That next year I ran 11.7 @117mph with vitara block stock head and ebay turbo on pump gas.
