I've got a d16y7 civic coupe that I'm thinking of turboing (nothing too mad, aiming for about 180bhp at the fly) but as it's going to be a daily driver, I'd like to keep decent mileage.

Before taking the plunge, could people post what kind of miles to the gallon do you get, the engine you have and what power are you making please?

Thanks.

It'll be different depending on your tuning, but on my y8 @ 6psi, and according to my track times, im in the 185-190 HP range(could be wrong though), I do about 30 mpg city, 35 in highway. I use 2 extra injectors though, that turn on @ boost.

When I'm taking it easy I get about 30 mpg, but its difficult to take it easy.

Normally I get about 20-25 mpg by my calculations.

:werd:, I think I get around 35-36 on the highway

with a proper turbo setup, you should be able to improve your mpg...when you arnt mashing the go-pedal ;)

btw, my old setup was getting slightly better than stock...but new my setup (this time with proper fuel management) should be much easier on gas when cruising.

I was going to test this when i turbo'd my car, with my ostrich and lc-1. It just seems like you could get near pre boost mpg, with the heater and o2 readings.

Its actualy on the rich side part throttle. 14.5 - 13.5 in vacuum, 13.0 at 1-5psi 12.8-12.5 6-10psi 12.5-12.0 10-15psi 11.8-.5ish up to 17psi and uber rich 11.0 up to 22psi (old turbo).

The dyno run was made on 93 yes. I have taken it to 20psi on a this larger turbo but it looked a bit lean for my tastes. The ol 450's just didnt have anything left at 94% haha!

edit: this motor has 40k miles on it btw daily drivin at 17psi.

hmmm, my vacuum maps are around the same. Boost is much richer, 12.5 @ 1-5psi, 11.5 @5-10psi. I'm sure my heavy coupe and auto tranny are not helping things either...
