Ok, so i just bought a 90 HF and I need to put a fresh motor in it. I plan on doing a SOHC ZC, which is the same as a CRX SI motor, for install purposes. What I'm trying to understand is, if i use an SI transmission and a SOHC ZC, do i have to use different axles? If so, will they work with the hub assemblies on the HF, because the spindle count is different?

Basically, what do i need?

no, you really dont. im using HF axels and hubs with my Si tranny. The diameter inside the tranny are the same on all models.

you can use your HF axles with the trans just fine as long as you keep the HF hubs

inner splines are the same, the outers are the part thats different

drop in motor/tranny and go.

If you decide to use a DOHC ZC tranny or do a B series swap, then you'll have to change the hubs.

+1 on your hf axles working. :)
smaller hf hubs arent too good for handling lots of HP, and the smaller brakes arent too good for stopping when going really fast!, lol but they'll be fine for every day driving! ;)
