I get the belt and everything on, and then go to take the slack out of the belt and the timing marks don't line up any more. Has anyone else had this problem or know how get the belt tight withought throwing off your marks?
thanks

My first time, it took me a few tries, but it wasn't too bad.

Keep tension on the belt after routing it around the crankpulley, idler and water pump. Be careful not to pull hard enough to turn the crank and just slide it over the cam gear.

Easier said than done, but you'll get it.
