I have little knowledge of imports but have been reading up on them lately since a couple of my friends have recently bought civics. One of my buddies has a D16A6 in his '91 Si. I found a guy locally selling a Y8 intake manifold off a '97 which I've read is the "type-r" of the d-series manifolds. So I was wondering, what exactly is needed to put this Y8 manifold on a D16A6? The Y8 comes with the throttle body, throttle position sensor, fuel rail and injectors. Are there any other parts we need? What modifications need to be done (I've read mostly extending electrical wires) and would he benifit from using a different throttle body(I've heard the b-series throttle bodies work well on this manifold)? Whcih injectors and fuel rail do we use? Will we have problems with the IAC valve?

I'm just looking for some info on putting the Y8 manifold on an A6. Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Everything is a bolt on process. And yes, you're going to have to extend a few wires. The IACV should work just fine. If you use the y8 fuel rail, you will need to modify something. The regulator is on the opposite side compared to the a6. You can use the a6 injectors too. I remember seeing a post here where they have throttle bodies and their specs. You can probably choose your pick from there.

i would use the a6 rail and 90-93 integra injectors or a6 injectors use a 90-93 t/b as well because the y8 is obd2 and prolly has different connectors not sure though....be sure to change im gasket
