The short story is: wrx + 97 honda civic 120+mph - 2 quarts shorted by dealer= blown motor. Jerk in garden grove stating he had ex motor to swap in + trusting him= a d16y7 in my ex= damn it. I don,t know what year the motor is could be 96-00, I want to buy a new head from honda, (ex), what all will I need to make it work with this d16y7, im, new belt, etc? I still have my ecu from ex running the show, do I need another vtec silenoid, need help got screwed. I was about to boost b4 I blew up old motor. Is the d16y7 the same on the bottom end as the d16y8?
